Hydrangeas by Tina Jalalian

Tina Jalalian, newest member of Chroma Gallery’s ensemble of exceptional professional artists, is jumping right in as July’s featured artist with her show titled “California Life!” While Chroma is known as Sacramento’s premier plein air landscape gallery, many members are proficient at still life painting as well, and Tina is no exception. Her collection of still life paintings is a testimony to her multifaceted talents and extensive training, which includes the teachings of Susan Sarback and Irene Lester at the School of Light and Color in Fair Oaks, as well as Lescek Forzcek and Robert Burridge.

Her career in engineering and technical writing has grounded Tina in the discipline needed to pursue the serious study of fine art principles. Her Persian traditional background has given her a love of artistic beauty and the desire to share her joy in creating art. Chroma Gallery invites you to drop by and meet Tina and enjoy this beautiful display of meticulously painted and richly colored still life paintings during the Second Saturday reception, July 12th , 5 to 9 PM, or see the show during normal gallery hours through August 3.

Now in its tenth year, Chroma Gallery - Northern California’s premier plein-air gallery features the works of 21 local artists. Committed to capturing radiant light and color in their artistry, their emphasis is on the Northern California landscape. Besides landscape paintings, visitors will also find vibrant still life paintings, photography, collage and sometimes the avant-garde in the bold display of color at Chroma
